Tortoise performed TNT live at The Art Institute of Chicago’s Midwinter 2019. I know what I’ll be listening to during work tomorrow.

This afternoon, while working on new type styles in the Minted Component Library, I turned on a live stream of Mexican Institute of Sound. Incredible sound coming from these guys. It’s certainly boosting my productivity!

KEXP just posted a set from Pedro the Lion recorded live in their studio this past December. I was obsessed with their album Control in 2002. I’ll have to blast that on the big speakers today.

Recently, I ran across “Loney, Noir” by Loney Dear on an old hard drive, it was one of my favorite albums ten years ago. I went to listen to it on Spotify, and what do you know, he has a new album. It’s going to be another favorite.
I stumbled onto Jeffrey Martin tonight and just had to stop everything I was doing and listen to a few albums straight through. Great way to end the week.

Getting this cloudy Fall Friday started off with a little Chris Stapleton. I love a good cover, and Chris does a great job with “Last Thing I Needed, First Thing This Morning”, a song made famous by Willie Nelson.
